Kayleigh and Daniel chose The Cannery, an industrial barn venue, for their special day. The festivities began as Kayleigh and her bridesmaids prepped and sipped mimosas in the bridal suite. One of her favorite moments was when she read the message Daniel had written on the bottom of her weddings shoes. “I cried when I read it!” Remembering their first look, Kayleigh says, “It was so emotional, romantic, and intimate. The pictures captured our love for one another.”
When asked what wedding advice she would share with future brides, Kayleigh says, “It’s going to be a long day but the best day of your life! Make sure you eat a light breakfast or have a snack to hold you through until dinner.” She also notes, “Stay hydrated—your skin and body will thank you!”
When it comes to wedding photos and getting the photos you would like, Kayleigh says, “Make a list of photographs that you want and give that to your photographer or have a bridesmaid help the photographer round up family that day.”
For cute group photos, she also suggests getting matching robes for your bridal party and matching pajamas for the mothers and grandmothers. And when it came to her wedding day look, she loved that she was able to keep her dress a secret. “It was so hard not to share with my girls and family but definitely the element of surprise and wonder was worth it.”
Even though the day will be crazy, Kayleigh reminds brides to enjoy dessert. “I am so sad that my husband and I had a beautiful dessert table and neither one of us ate any of it! We were so busy and didn’t stop to get dessert.”
Finally, Kayleigh also suggests giving something special to your new spouse on your wedding day. “I surprised Dan with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game! His favorite team. He was so surprised!! He also wrote me a beautiful card and gifted me a beautiful handbag! These are keepsakes and memories that we will forever cherish.”
Family and friends gathered in the rustic chapel for the indoor ceremony. Kayleigh walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her grandfather and her mom’s boyfriend. She remembers, “I felt so blessed to have these two men give me away on my big day!” After the ceremony, the celebration began as everyone enjoyed cocktails, cigars and then dinner and dancing. Kayleigh says, “Our first dance was so magical!” The couple danced the night away surrounded by their loved ones. Everyone could feel the energy and excitement as they celebrated with Kayleigh and Daniel.
Wishing Kayleigh and Daniel the best and happy one year anniversary!
